What data we collect
When you send an inquiry through the form on this website, we collect the details you enter yourself: your name, e-mail address, phone number, preferred house, arrival and departure dates, number of guests and your message.
When you visit the website, the server automatically records technical data needed to display the site and keep it secure, such as your IP address, browser type and time of access.
This website does not use cookies or any tracking or visitor analytics tools.
Why we use it and on what legal basis
- Replying to your inquiry and arranging your stay — we use form data for this purpose only. The legal basis is taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Operating and securing the website — technical data is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in a reliable and secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
We do not sell your data, share it for marketing purposes or send you newsletters.
Who else has access to the data
To run this website we use the following service providers, who process data on our behalf:
- Web3Forms — delivers form messages to our e-mail address (privacy policy).
- Google (Gmail) — the e-mail service that receives inquiries (privacy policy).
- Cloudflare — hosting and delivery of the website (privacy policy).
- Google Fonts — the website fonts are loaded from Google servers, which means Google sees your IP address (privacy policy).
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Union. In that case the transfer is subject to the safeguards required by the GDPR, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.
Calendar, map and external links
Booked dates in the calendar are retrieved from Airbnb by our server. No data about you is sent to Airbnb in the process.
The website contains links to Airbnb, Facebook, Instagram and partner websites in the area. We send no data to these services unless you click a link, after which their own privacy policies apply.
The map on the home page is loaded from Google Maps only when you click “Show map”. Google then receives your IP address and may set cookies (privacy policy). The WhatsApp button opens a chat in the WhatsApp app (Meta) only after you click it; that chat is governed by the WhatsApp privacy policy.
How long we keep data
Inquiries that do not lead to a booking are kept for no longer than 12 months after our last communication and then deleted. If you stay with us, we keep your data for as long as the law requires, for example for guest registration and accounting. Technical server logs are deleted automatically by the hosting provider after a short period.
Your rights
You may at any time request access to your data, its correction or deletion, restriction of processing and data portability, and you may object to processing. Simply write to artemislika1@gmail.com.
If you believe your data is being processed unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP), Selska cesta 136, 10000 Zagreb, azop.hr, or with the supervisory authority in your country of residence.
